Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in egg sorting, grading, cleaning, packaging, and dispatch.
• Monitor daily production and ensure all operations meet food safety (FSSAI) and quality standards.
• Ensure timely execution of production plans and targets as per sales forecasts and inventory levels.
• Maintain records of production output, materials used, downtime, and other operational data. • Implement and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for hygiene, handling, and packaging.
• Coordinate with quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Minimize wastage and optimize resource utilization (labour, material, and time).
• Train and motivate shop floor staff to maintain efficiency and discipline.
• Ensure machinery and equipment are in good working condition; raise maintenance requests as needed.
• Enforce compliance with safety policies and hygiene protocols.
• Support audits (internal/external) and regulatory inspections.
Requirements
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in food technology, Agriculture, Engineering, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in food/FMCG production, preferably in dairy, poultry, or egg industry
. • Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Working knowledge of food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000). • Basic knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel.
