Job Purpose
The Warehouse Manager will possess complete ownership and strategic accountability for the warehouse ecosystem, governing all workflows from Inward (Receiving) to Outward (Last-Mile Dispatch). The core objective is to architect and execute a highly optimized logistics and fulfillment strategy that maximizes process efficiency, protects inventory integrity, minimizes unit economics costs, and ensures flawless D2C/B2C order fulfillment cycles.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Warehouse & Fulfillment Leadership
Govern all daily e-commerce operations, ensuring 100% adherence to timelines across monthly, quarterly, and year-end closeouts.
Optimize multi-attribute SKU management (varied sizes, colors, and product categories) to handle high-volume pick-and-pack schedules with aggressive dispatch SLAs.
Design and execute localized scheduling, floor layouts, and resource mapping strategies to effortlessly scale with promotional spikes and seasonal demand.
2. Inventory Integrity & Risk Management
Establish strict stock management controls, cycle counts, and periodic full physical audits to guarantee zero stock shrinkage.
Personally investigate all stock variances or systematic discrepancies, executing clear corrective actions.
Enforce robust loss-prevention and anti-fraud protocols on the floor to eliminate inventory leakage.
3. Team Leadership, Budgets & Unit Economics
Directly lead, train, and manage the floor team (supervisors, pickers, packers, and handlers), monitoring daily KPIs and resolving operational bottlenecks instantly.
Collate, track, and evaluate financial logistics metrics, including Postage & Packaging (P&P) budgets, warehousing costs, and unit economics data.
Partner closely with Top Management to regularly build, refine, and deploy standard operating playbooks ("Business Bibles").
4. Logistics, Quality Control & Customer Experience
Oversee a robust Quality Control (QC) setup for inbound vendor shipments and outgoing customer parcels to preserve brand consistency.
Manage strategic relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) aggregates and courier partners to maximize last-mile delivery performance while driving down transit costs.
Supervise the reverse logistics flow, ensuring swift handling of customer returns, chargeback queries, and delivery dispute recoveries.
Required Skill Set
Managerial & Strategic Competencies
Operations Strategy: Proven experience scaling high-throughput e-commerce warehouse workflows.
Team Leadership: Strong capability in manpower planning, performance tracking, and floor discipline management.
Financial & Analytical Acumen: Experience managing packaging budgets, analyzing logistics performance data, and tracking cost-per-shipment metrics.
Technical & Operational Competencies
E-commerce Logistics: Expert knowledge of B2C/D2C dispatch workflows, last-mile optimization, and reverse logistics tracking.
Inventory Control Systems: High proficiency working with modern Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Order Management Systems (OMS) integrated with online platforms (e.g., Shopify).
Audit & Reconciliation: Sharp analytical skills for variance identification, physical stock reconciliation, and preventative loss control.
Job Specifications
Experience: Prior manager-level experience explicitly handling high-volume e-commerce/D2C retail fulfillment centers is required.
