Key Responsibilities:
Operations Oversight: Manage daily flow of goods (receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping) and optimize warehouse layout for space utilization.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, motivate, and appraise warehouse staff; assign tasks and manage productivity.
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct counts, ensure accuracy, and reconcile with data systems.
Logistics & Distribution: Coordinate with transport companies, plan deliveries, and ensure timely dispatch.
Safety & Compliance: Implement and enforce health, safety, and security protocols; inspect equipment; maintain records.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare performance reports, analyze metrics, and develop action plans for improvement.
Equipment Management: Oversee maintenance of forklifts, machinery, and general facility upkeep.
