Job Summary
The Warehouse In-charge is responsible for overseeing and managing all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage, handling, distribution, and replacement of goods. This role involves maintaining inventory accuracy, implementing safety protocols related to personnel and Labour working in warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality customer service
Work closely with other departments, suppliersand clients to ensure smooth & timely logistics
Supervise, implement and enforce safety procedures to ensure safe warehouse operations
Manage and oversee all warehouse activities related to receiving, storing&dispatchinggoods
Maintain accurate daily records of inventory, shipments and all warehouse activities
Ensure material availability to fulfill delivery requirements
Creating purchase orders of material required and share with line Manager / Director(s)
Ensuring deliveries are received as per the manifest and Purchase order
Raising any discrepancies with material procurement at the receiving stage
Prepare and dispatch material in good time and in alignment with company procedures
Resolve and/or escalate issues related to logistics and deliveries in a timely manner
Initiate written communication with suppliers for exchange, return and warranty claims
Prepare e-invoices and complete e-way billing processes in Tally
Issue DCR Verification certificates for solar modules to vendors and end customers
Conduct monthly audits, and ensure stock levels are always managed effectively
Prepare and submit monthly stock statements to Director(s) and Bank
Maintain all records and documentation in appropriate folders and files for all warehouse activities and operations
Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse layout for storage&distribution
Monitor and control warehouse expenses, including budgeting and cost management
Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve high performance and productivity
· Utilize Labour force optimally and judiciously
Maintain and submit Weekly Labour work summary to line Manager / Director(s)
Connect with vendors and get feedback regarding material quality
Connect with new suppliers to benchmark material quality and prices
Connect with old and new vendors to improve and increase sales of the distribution vertical
· Report to the line Manager and Director(s) any incident or accident in the warehouse
Key Skills and Organizational Expectations
Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management
Proficiency in warehouse management software and tools such as Tally and Excel sheet
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
Ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing work environment and/or operational demands
Good spoken and written communication
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
Time management
Ability to handle stressful situations and make quick decisions
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
