Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager with a background in the machinery or manufacturing industry to lead and optimize warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials, components, and finished products while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. This role is critical to supporting production schedules and ensuring the seamless flow of materials in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse including receiving, storing, and dispatching of heavy machinery parts, raw materials, and finished goods
Coordinate closely with production, maintenance, and procurement teams to ensure timely material availability
Implement and maintain warehouse layout plans for safe and efficient storage of large, heavy, and sensitive equipment
Supervise a team of warehouse staff, including forklift drivers, inventory clerks, and shipping/receiving personnel
Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, particularly in the handling of heavy or hazardous materials
Operate or oversee the use of heavy material-handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks)
Manage inventory control systems (ERP/WMS) for accuracy and availability of stock
Conduct regular stock takes, audits, and quality checks
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline warehouse processes and reduce downtime
Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments meet production and quality standards
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience (3–5+ years) as a Warehouse Manager or Supervisor in the machinery, heavy equipment, or manufacturing industry
Strong understanding of supply chain processes within an industrial/manufacturing setting
Proficient with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
Solid leadership and team management skills
Knowledge of equipment maintenance and safe handling procedures
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred)
Forklift and/or crane operation certification (preferred or required depending on facility)
Health & Safety or OSHA certification is a plus
Working Conditions:
Industrial warehouse environment with exposure to heavy machinery and manufacturing operations
May involve standing for long periods, lifting, or moving heavy items
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is required
Occasional overtime and weekend work may be needed to meet production deadlines
