6. Roles and Responsibilities
As a Branch Manager, your duties include but are not limited to the following:
Operations Management
Oversee daily inbound and outbound shipments.
Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of consignments.
Coordinate with transporters, drivers, and warehouse staff.
Monitor fleet movement and optimize delivery routes.
Sales & Business Development
Support and execute sales strategies to achieve branch targets.
Identify new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
Promote company services to existing and potential clients.
Branch Administration
Maintain documentation such as invoices, challans, gate passes, and PODs.
Manage branch-level petty cash, billing, and expense records.
Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Maintain a clean and organized branch environment.
Customer Service
Provide shipment updates and proactively manage delays.
Address customer queries and complaints effectively.
Share delivery information as required.
Team Coordination
Supervise loaders, field executives, and delivery staff.
Allocate tasks and manage shift scheduling.
Conduct daily meetings or huddles with the team.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
Track KPIs such as delivery turnaround time (TAT), delay percentage, etc.
Escalate unresolved operational issues to senior management.
Inventory & Warehouse Management (if applicable)
Maintain inventory and packaging material records.
Track incoming and outgoing stock levels.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with transport rules and regulations.
Verify documentation of company vehicles and delivery staff.
Conduct routine compliance audits.
