Key Responsibilities
Pricing & Quotations:
Obtain competitive ocean freight rates from shipping lines and consolidators.
Prepare and share timely and accurate quotations with sales teams and customers.
Maintain a database of ocean freight tariffs, surcharges, and contracts.
Negotiate with carriers and vendors to secure best possible rates and services.
Customer Coordination:
Act as the point of contact for customers regarding shipment pricing, booking, and updates.
Coordinate with operations, documentation, and sales teams to ensure service delivery.
Handle customer queries, resolve service issues, and provide proactive updates.
Support clients with rate validity, transit times, and service options.
Operations Support:
Ensure smooth handover of confirmed bookings to the operations team.
Monitor bookings until final execution, addressing any service gaps.
Coordinate with carriers, co-loaders, and overseas agents for timely updates.
Reporting & Compliance:
Maintain records of quotations, rate sheets, and customer correspondence.
Support management in preparing pricing and volume analysis reports.
Ensure adherence to company policies, service level agreements, and compliance standards.
