Warehouse Executive

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning:

  Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize costs and maintain quality standards. 

• Vendor Management:

  Identify, evaluate, and select new suppliers, then negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors. 

• Negotiation:

  Secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery conditions by negotiating with suppliers. 

• Inventory Management:

  Coordinate with other departments to monitor inventory levels, forecast future needs, and ensure the timely availability of materials. 

• Cost Analysis & Control:

  Analyze expenditures, track key functional metrics, and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve overall efficiency. 

• Compliance & Risk Mitigation:

  Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and company policies, and mitigate potential supply chain risks. 

• Team Leadership:

  Manage and guide a team of buyers and purchasing agents, providing training and overseeing their work. 

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with other departments (like production, sales, and marketing) to understand their procurement requirements. 

• Reporting:

  Prepare and present reports on procurement performance and key metrics to senior management. 

Required Skills

• Negotiation: Strong ability to negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers. 

• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, market trends, and expenditures to find cost-saving opportunities. 

• Leadership: Capability to manage a team and lead procurement efforts effectively. 

• Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders.

• Business Acumen: Sound business sense to make informed purchasing decisions that support organizational objectives. 

• Data Management: Proficiency in using data and technology to track performance and manage purchasing processes.
