The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, dispatching goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
Receive incoming materials and verify quantity and quality against delivery documents.
Arrange and store products in designated storage locations.
Assist in stock counting, cycle counts, and annual physical inventory.
Report damaged, expired, or missing items to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO/FEFO principles where applicable.
Order Processing
Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and on time.
Verify products before dispatch to minimize delivery errors.
Coordinate with logistics and transport teams for timely dispatches.
Prepare shipping labels and dispatch documentation.
Warehouse Operations
Load and unload goods safely.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
Ensure proper handling and storage of products to prevent damage.
Operate warehouse equipment and tools safely (if authorized).
