Key Responsibilities
Material Receiving
Receive incoming raw materials, finished goods, packing materials and other items.
Check quantity, material description, packaging condition and supporting documents.
Report any shortage, excess, damage or mismatch immediately to the Warehouse In-charge.
Material Identification & Storage
Ensure all materials are properly identified, labelled and stored at the designated location.
Maintain proper segregation of different materials, batches and lots.
Follow FIFO/FEFO wherever applicable.
Stock Management
Maintain accurate physical stock and ensure proper stock movement records.
Assist in daily/weekly/monthly physical stock verification.
Immediately report any stock shortage, excess or negative stock-related discrepancy.
Tally / Documentation Support
Provide correct material and quantity details to the Accounts/ERP team for purchase, sales, transfer and other entries.
Verify material documents before handing them over for system entry.
Maintain proper records of inward and outward material.
Dispatch & Loading
Assist in picking and arranging material as per dispatch instructions.
Ensure correct quantity, material, batch/lot and packing before loading.
Coordinate with the loading/dispatch team and ensure material is properly packed and secured.
Material Transfer
Maintain proper records for inter-unit material transfers.
Ensure the material is sent to the correct unit/location as per approved instructions.
Housekeeping & Safety
Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of the warehouse.
Ensure material is stacked safely and warehouse areas remain free from unnecessary obstruction.
Follow company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Documentation
Maintain inward/outward registers, stock records, delivery documents, gate passes and other warehouse records.
Ensure all documents are properly filed and available for verification.
Coordination
Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Accounts, Sales, Logistics and other departments regarding material movement.
Escalate any discrepancy or issue to the Warehouse In-charge without delay.
Key Controls
No material should be received or dispatched without proper authorization/documentation.
No material should be moved to another location/unit without proper instruction.
Quantity and material details must be physically verified before dispatch.
Any damaged, excess, shortage or unidentified material must be reported immediately.
Maintain accurate stock records and avoid unauthorized stock adjustments.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 12th pass; Diploma/graduate preferred.
Basic computer knowledge and MS Excel.
Basic knowledge of Tally/ERP will be an advantage.
Good understanding of warehouse and inventory procedures.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to maintain accurate records and work in a disciplined manner.
Performance Parameters
Accuracy of inward and outward material.
Stock accuracy and timely discrepancy reporting.
Proper documentation and record maintenance.
Timely execution of loading/unloading and material movement.
Warehouse cleanliness, safety and proper material arrangement.
