Warehouse Assistant

Job Overview :

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for supporting warehouse operations, including receiving goods, organizing storage areas, preparing orders for shipment, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to lift heavy items, and good communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Receiving and Processing Shipments:

   • Unload incoming goods from trucks and inspect for any damages or discrepancies.

   • Record product quantities and verify shipment accuracy against purchase orders.

   • Label and organize goods in designated storage areas.

2. Order Picking and Packing:

   • Accurately pick products from storage to fulfil customer orders.

   • Pack items securely and prepare them for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality.

   • Assist in loading trucks for dispatch.

3. Inventory Management:

   • Assist in monitoring stock levels and conducting regular inventory counts.

   • Maintain accurate records of stock movements and report discrepancies.

   • Organize and rotate stock to maximize space and maintain order.

4. Warehouse Organization and Cleanliness:

   • Ensure that the warehouse is clean, organized, and free from hazards.

   • Follow safety guidelines and report any safety concerns to the Warehouse Manager.

   • Help maintain warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, and report any maintenance needs.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

   • Complete necessary documentation for shipments, inventory, and returns.

   • Assist in tracking shipments and updating order statuses.

   • Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.

6. Teamwork and Communication:

   • Work closely with other warehouse team members and departments to achieve operational goals.

   • Communicate any issues or challenges promptly to the Warehouse Supervisor.
