Transportation Specialist - Logistics and Supply Chain

Transportation Specialist Job Purpose and Impact Transportation Specialist is a key role for Agriculture & Trading India, responsible for planning, coordinating, and improving the movement of Inventory through road and/or railcar managing transportation activities. Ensure efficient, safe, cost-effective, and compliant movement of commodity. Analyze transportation needs, coordinate with carriers and stakeholders, monitor performance, and implement process improvements. Key Accountabilities Onboard and manage transportation service providers, carriers, and vendors. Ensure compliance with transportation laws, regulations, and safety standards. Plan and coordinate transportation operations and schedules in co-ordination with commercial team. Monitor shipments, deliveries, and transportation performance. Address transportation issues and resolve delays or service issues. Analyze transportation costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency & reduce cost. Ensure Commodity is handling loss during transportation is within agreed tolerance. Prepare transportation reports, metrics, & documentation and circulate timely with stakeholders. Ensure data collection, compilation & update in system within agreed timeline Optimize routes and transportation networks for efficiency. Support transportation and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Logistics / Supply Chain Management and / or relevant experience. 5+ years of Experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or fleet management in Agri commodity industry. Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
