Job Summary:

The Transport Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all traffic and transportation operations to ensure efficient and safe movement of goods and/or vehicles. The role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and the ability to optimize routing, fleet management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily traffic operations and logistics planning for inbound and outbound movements.

• Optimize routing, fleet utilization, and driver schedules to ensure timely deliveries.

• Monitor real-time traffic, weather, and transportation conditions to make necessary adjustments.

• Coordinate with dispatchers, fleet managers, and third-party vendors for smooth transportation flow.

• Develop and implement traffic control strategies to reduce delays and enhance safety.

• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.

• Analyze traffic data and generate reports on performance metrics, cost savings, and improvement areas.

• Resolve transportation issues and handle emergencies or delays proactively.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (5+ years) in logistics, preferably in FTL or freight transport operations.

• Strong understanding of transport regulations and fleet management.

• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with major transport aggregators or tech-enabled logistics platforms.

• Knowledge of regional and national freight corridors.

• Familiarity with vehicle leasing and vendor negotiations.

• Good contacts of vehicle providers vendors

Work Conditions:

• Full-time role with on-call availability during peak operations.

• Field visits may be required for fleet audits, vendor management, and operational supervision
