Job Summary

The Transport Coordinator will be responsible for managing day-to-day transportation operations, ensuring timely vehicle deployment, coordinating with drivers and vendors, and maintaining smooth logistics operations while adhering to company policies and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily vehicle deployment as per operational requirements.

• Allocate vehicles and drivers based on trip schedules and client requirements.

• Monitor vehicle movement through GPS and ensure timely pickups and deliveries.

• Coordinate with drivers, clients, transport vendors, and warehouse teams.

• Maintain daily trip sheets, dispatch records, and transportation MIS.

• Ensure availability and validity of vehicle documents, including RC, Insurance, Fitness, PUC, and Permits.

• Monitor fuel consumption, FASTag balances, toll expenses, and vehicle utilization.

• Coordinate vehicle servicing, maintenance, and breakdown assistance.

• Resolve operational issues and transportation delays promptly.

• Verify transport bills, trip sheets, and vendor invoices before submission.

• Ensure compliance with company SOPs and statutory requirements.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline.

• Diploma/Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in transport coordination, fleet management, or logistics operations.

Skills Required

• Knowledge of fleet and transport operations.

• Good understanding of route planning and vehicle scheduling.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting.

• Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and transport management software.

• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
