Transport Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

1. Transportation Operations

• Plan and monitor employee pickup and drop routes.

• Ensure adherence to transport schedules for all shifts (including night shifts).

• Coordinate with drivers and vendors to handle delays, breakdowns, and emergencies.

• Maintain trip sheets, mileage logs, and transport records.

2. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with traffic rules, RTO regulations, and company safety policies.

• Conduct regular vehicle inspections and schedule preventive maintenance.

• Implement safety protocols such as GPS tracking, ID verification, and emergency response.

• Manage incident reporting and accident investigations.

3. Staff & Vendor Management

• Supervise drivers, conduct training sessions, and monitor performance.

• Prepare driver duty rosters and allocate shifts.

• Coordinate with external transport vendors and monitor service quality.

• Resolve conflicts between employees and drivers promptly.

4. Employee Coordination

• Address employee concerns related to routes, safety, and punctuality.

• Communicate transport-related updates via SMS, calls, or apps.

• Ensure special arrangements for late-night or emergency travel needs.

5. Cost & Resource Management

• Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and vendor billing.

• Prepare transport-related expense reports for management.

• Optimize routes to reduce travel time and cost.
