Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager from the pharmaceutical sector to oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, distribution, and demand planning. The candidate must have strong analytical skills with expertise in Advanced Excel for data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain Management
Manage complete supply chain operations including sourcing, procurement, warehousing, and distribution
Ensure timely availability of raw materials and finished goods
Coordinate with production, QA, and regulatory teams
2. Demand Planning & Forecasting
Prepare demand forecasts based on historical data and market trends
Optimize inventory levels to avoid stock-outs or overstocking
Improve forecast accuracy using data analysis
3. Inventory & Warehouse Management
Monitor inventory levels across warehouses
Implement FIFO/FEFO practices (critical in pharma)
Reduce inventory carrying cost and expiry losses
4. Vendor & Procurement Management
Identify and develop reliable vendors
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms
Ensure compliance with pharma regulatory standards
5. Logistics & Distribution
Manage transportation and distribution network
Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of products
Optimize logistics cost and route planning
6. Compliance & Quality
Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, and regulatory guidelines
Maintain documentation and audit readiness
7. Data Analysis & Reporting (Advanced Excel)
Use Advanced Excel tools such as:
Pivot Tables & Pivot Charts
VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP
Macros & VBA (preferred)
Power Query / Data Analysis
Generate MIS reports, dashboards, and performance metrics
Analyse supply chain KPIs (OTIF, inventory turnover, lead time)
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Inventory turnover ratio
Order fulfilment rate (OTIF)
Forecast accuracy
Reduction in stock expiry/wastage
Cost optimization in logistics
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain / pharmacy / business administration
MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain (preferred)
