Store Keeper:
Job Summary:
The Storekeeper is responsible for managing and maintaining the inventory of spare parts, ensuring accurate record-keeping, efficient storage, and timely availability of parts to support operational needs. This role involves utilizing inventory management software and requires proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inventory Management:
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming spare parts against purchase orders.
• Accurately records all incoming and outgoing inventory in the designated inventory management software.
• Maintain organized and efficient storage of spare parts, ensuring proper labeling and categorization.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts to reconcile with software records.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize stockouts.
• Manage the disposal of obsolete or damaged parts.
• Software and Data Management:
• Utilize inventory management software to track inventory, generate reports, and analyze data.
• Enter and maintain accurate data within the inventory management system.
• Use Excel to create and maintain inventory reports, analyze data, and generate summaries.
• Utilize Excel to track inventory, generate reports, and analyze data.
• Coordination and Communication:
• Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and other departments to ensure timely availability of spare parts.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and discrepancies.
• Provide regular inventory reports to the reporting manager.
• Safety and Housekeeping:
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the storeroom.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a storekeeper or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in inventory management software.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis).
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
