We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure value for money while meeting high-quality standards and strict timelines.
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tenders.
Manage project finances and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Measure and value work done on-site.
Prepare interim and final payment applications and manage subcontractor payments.
Evaluate and negotiate variations and change orders.
Liaise with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and project team members.
Conduct feasibility studies and risk analyses.
Assist in procurement and selection of contractors and suppliers.
Monitor project progress and prepare cost reports and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements.
Participate in contract administration and dispute resolution if required.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
2+ years of experience in quantity surveying or cost control in the construction industry.
Professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is a plus.
Skills:
Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
Excellent numeracy and analytical skills.
Proficient in cost estimating software and MS Office Suite.
Knowledge of contracts such as FIDIC, JCT, NEC (as relevant).
Good communication and negotiation abilities.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience with large-scale infrastructure/commercial/residential projects.
Knowledge of BIM and digital construction tools.
