Key Responsibilities
Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of raw materials and finished products.
Ensure products conform to engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
Monitor fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processes to maintain quality standards.
Perform dimensional inspections using Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, measuring tapes, and other precision measuring instruments.
Identify quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Prepare and maintain quality reports, inspection records, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Coordinate with Production, Design, Planning, and Dispatch teams to resolve quality-related issues.
Conduct root cause analysis and recommend process improvements to reduce defects.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality management systems and company quality procedures.
Support internal and external quality audits.
Train and guide shop floor personnel on quality standards and inspection procedures.
Maintain quality documentation and ensure timely reporting of inspection results.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) processes.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Hands-on experience with measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
Strong communication and team coordination abilities.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality documentation.
Qualification
Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical, Production, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2–3 years of experience in Quality Engineering or Quality Control in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in Aluminium Formwork, Fabrication, Steel Structures, or Engineering Products will be preferred.
