Job Summary

The Patrol Inspector is responsible for monitoring and inspecting production activities on the shop floor to ensure that products manufactured in the Pressure Die Casting process meet specified quality standards and customer requirements. The role involves conducting in-process inspections, identifying defects, ensuring process compliance, and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine patrol inspections during production to ensure adherence to quality standards and process parameters.

• Inspect die-cast components for visual and dimensional defects such as porosity, cracks, blow holes, flash, dents, and other casting imperfections.

• Verify product dimensions using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges.

• Ensure compliance with control plans, work instructions, inspection standards, and customer specifications.

• Monitor critical process parameters and report abnormalities to production and quality supervisors.

• Record inspection results and maintain quality documentation and inspection reports.

• Segregate and identify non-conforming products and coordinate corrective actions with production teams.

• Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for quality issues.

• Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections as required.

• Ensure calibration status of measuring instruments before use.

• Coordinate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to improve product quality and reduce rejection rates.

• Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain housekeeping standards in the inspection area.
  
  Qualification

  • ITI / Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  Experience

  • 0-3 years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing or Pressure Die Casting industry preferred.
