KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Inspect VMC-machined components as per engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection plans. Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspection of components.
Check dimensions using Vernier, Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Thread Gauges, Plug/Ring Gauges, and other measuring instruments.
Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, tolerances, surface finish, and datum requirements.
Verify critical dimensions and identify machining defects such as burrs, tool marks, incorrect dimensions, hole position errors, and surface defects.
Prepare and maintain inspection reports, check sheets, rejection reports, and quality records. Ensure measuring instruments are properly calibrated and used correctly.
Identify non-conforming parts and coordinate with production for corrective action. Support in-process quality control and prevent repeated defects.
Conduct 100% inspection / sampling inspection as per defined quality standards. Maintain traceability of inspected components and inspection results.
Coordinate with Production, Tool Room, and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
