Job Summary

The Operations Assistant is responsible for executing essential ground operations tasks to ensure the timely and accurate processing, sorting, and dispatch of shipments. This role is critical in maintaining the efficiency and integrity of the logistics chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Shipment Processing and Scanning:

  • Perform timely and accurate scanning of shipments upon arrival and dispatch using handheld devices or established systems.

  • Verify shipment details against manifest documents to ensure correctness.

• Sorting and Segregation:

  • Execute sorting of shipments pin code wise and route-wise for efficient onward movement and delivery.

  • Assist in the segregation of domestic and international shipments as required.

  • Handle and process both regular and special consignments.

• Ground Operations and Handling:

  • Conduct basic ground operations tasks, including loading and unloading of inbound and outbound vehicles.

  • Ensure all shipments are physically handled and stored securely to prevent damage or loss.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the operational areas, such as the sorting and staging zones.

• Documentation and Reporting:

  • Assist in the preparation of daily work and dispatch reports.

  • Report any discrepancies, damages, or non-compliance issues immediately to the supervisor.

• Teamwork and Compliance:

  • Work closely with Bikers (Pickup & Delivery Staff) and other team members to ensure smooth operations and timely handovers.

  • Adhere to all company operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum Educational Qualification, 10th/12th Pass Fail Any

• Experience: 0-2 years of experience in logistics or ground operations / Experience in logistics

• Skills:

  • Strong physical stamina and ability to handle material loading/unloading.

  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in shifts (Morning, General, Afternoon, Evening, or Night Shift) as per operational requirement.

• It is a Full Time Warehouse / Logistics job for candidates with Freshers.
