Core ResponsibilitiesPicking: Locate and gather the correct items, quantities, and SKUs using order slips, lists, or hand-held barcode scanners.Inspecting: Check products for defects, damage, or missing parts before preparing them for delivery.Packing: Choose the right boxes or containers, arrange items securely with protective padding, and seal packages.Labeling: Apply accurate shipping labels, barcodes, and identification details to packages.Inventory Control: Update computerized inventory logs and report low stock or damaged goods to supervisors.Equipment Operation: Use warehouse tools like pallet jacks, hand trucks, or RF scanners safely.Safety: Keep the work area clean and follow all workplace safety rules.Requirements and SkillsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent (often preferred, but not always required).Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for long shifts, and lift heavy items (typically 20 to 50 lbs).Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy to ensure the right products reach the right customers.Time Management: Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment to meet daily shipping targets.Tech Skills: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with digital scanners or inventory software
