Picker / Packer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Order Picking:

• Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders using a handheld scanner or manual picking list.

• Verify picked items for accuracy in quantity, type, and condition.

2. Packing and Labeling:

• Safely pack items for shipment using appropriate packaging materials.

• Label packages with shipping details, ensuring correct and legible information.

3. Scanning and Documentation:

• Scan items using barcode scanners to update order status in the warehouse management system (WMS).

• Complete any required order documentation.

4. Putaway and Stock Management:

• Store incoming inventory in designated locations within the warehouse.

• Ensure organized and accessible storage of products.

• Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts as directed.

5. Safety and Compliance:

• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics role is preferred.

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift items (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
