Picker / Packer

A picker packer is responsible for fulfilling customer orders in a warehouse or distribution center by selecting items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. This involves locating products, verifying quantities, packing items securely, and ensuring correct labeling for delivery. They also play a role in maintaining inventory accuracy and a safe work environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Order Fulfillment:

  Picking items from shelves based on order slips (paper or digital) and verifying the correct items and quantities are selected. 

• Packing:

  Carefully packing picked items into appropriate containers (boxes, crates, etc.), ensuring items are protected during transit. 

• Shipping Preparation:

  Labeling packages with correct shipping information and preparing them for shipment. 

• Inventory Management:

  May be involved in tasks like restocking shelves, monitoring stock levels, and reporting discrepancies. 

• Safety and Quality:

  Maintaining a safe and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols, and reporting any quality issues or hazards. 

• Equipment Operation:

  May operate equipment like dollies, pallet wrappers, or forklifts. 

Required Skills:

• Physical Stamina: Picker packers are often on their feet for extended periods and may need to lift and carry items.
