Key Responsibilities:
Packaging Development:
Design, develop, and implement innovative packaging solutions for electrical components and products ensuring product safety, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with company standards.
Material Selection & Testing:
Identify suitable packaging materials (corrugated boxes, foams, shrink wraps, pallets, etc.) based on product specifications and transportation needs. Conduct performance testing and quality checks.
Vendor Coordination:
Work closely with packaging material suppliers for cost negotiation, timely delivery, and quality assurance. Evaluate new vendors and packaging technologies.
Cost Optimization:
Analyze packaging costs and initiate projects to reduce material waste, improve design efficiency, and lower overall packaging expenditure.
Standardization & Documentation:
Create and maintain packaging specifications, BOMs, drawings, and SOPs for all SKUs. Ensure consistent implementation across production units and suppliers.
Sustainability Focus:
Support the company’s sustainability goals by developing eco-friendly packaging alternatives and optimizing recyclability.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Coordinate with Production, Quality, Design, and Logistics teams to ensure packaging design aligns with operational requirements and transportation constraints.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all packaging meets regulatory and safety standards for electrical goods (including insulation, anti-static protection, and labeling norms).
Continuous Improvement:
Monitor packaging performance in the field and implement corrective actions or improvements based on customer feedback or damage reports.
