Operation Executive

Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Transport Executive to oversee commerical vehicle placement operations (Tata Ace to 32Ft) in Chennai. This role is critical to ensuring timely and efficient placement of vehicles as per operational and client requirements. The ideal candidate will coordinate with internal teams, transport vendors, and drivers to manage the end to-end vehicle placement process. Key Responsibilities: Plan and execute daily vehicle placement schedules based on delivery and pickup requirements. Have to travel and onboard new transporters regularly. Coordinate with transporters and fleet providers to ensure timely availability of vehicles. Monitor real-time vehicle movement and resolve placement issues or delays. Maintain communication with clients and operations teams to update on placement status. Negotiate rates and confirm with transport vendors when needed. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards for all vehicles dispatched. Maintain accurate records of vehicle placements, vendor performance, and billing details. Provide daily and weekly reports on vehicle placement metrics. Handle emergency vehicle replacements or reassignments when required. Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience in transport coordination or vehicle placement in Chennai. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Good Ground knowledge of fleet operations and transporters. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Proficiency in Ms-Excel and G-Sheets. Preferred Skills: Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PL). Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail. Candidates with FMCG Backgrounds or prior experience.
