Procurement and Logistics Executive
Job Overview: The Procurement and Logistics Executive will be responsible for managing the procurement processes and ensuring MIS along with P2P cycle. This role involves working with other team members, dispatch planning, Just in time procurement and handling pan-India shipments using various logistics platforms such as Delivery, Shiprocket. Logistics Executive must ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products. Logistics executive should also have worked with local transporters and pan India transporters for transport arrangements. Buyer to have knowledge of electrical items. solar filed preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement and Sourcing (Added Field)
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate favourable terms and agreements.
Source and procure Electrical goods and services required for projects.
Re-Negotiation, Preparation POs, sending POs to suppliers
Shipment Management:
Planning of material dispatch, getting goods packed as per site requirement
Coordinate transportation and logistics activities with transporters and vendors
Optimize transportation routes and modes to reduce costs and improve efficiency
Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles
Experience in managing pan-India shipments
Ensure timely delivery of products.
Negotiate with logistics partners and secure best deal for logistics
Coordinate and manage shipments across India using Delhi very, Ship rocket, and local transporters.
Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery.
Resolve any issues related to delays, damages, or discrepancies in shipments.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure availability of products.
Coordinate with warehouses to ensure proper storage and handling of goods.
Manage JIT transactions
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare and maintain shipping documents, invoices, and other related paperwork.
Generate regular reports on shipment status, inventory levels, and logistics costs.
Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions to improve logistics operations.
Communication and Negotiation:
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate favourable terms.
Attention to Detail:
High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and shipment tracking.
Team Player:
Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with other departments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in commerce / B.tech Electrical preferred/ logistics diploma etc
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in supply chain management and procurement.
Experience with pan-India shipment handling using Delivery, Shiprocket, and local transporters and Pan india transporters
Understanding of Electrical items preferred
Working Conditions:
May require working beyond standard hours to ensure timely delivery of shipments.
Office timings: 10am to 7pm
