The role involves managing transporters, negotiating freight rates, ensuring cost-effective logistics, and coordinating closely with production, stores, and accounts to maintain smooth supply chain operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring uninterrupted production and on-time customer deliveries.Key Responsibilities:1. Transportation & Logistics Coordination· Ensure timely transportation of all raw materials from suppliers to the plant.· Ensure timely dispatch of all finished goods to customers and other locations.· Coordinate logistics planning with production schedules to avoid delays or bottlenecks.2. Transporter Management & Rate Finalization· Identify, negotiate, and finalize transporters and freight rates to ensure cost efficiency.· Monitor transporter performance and compliance with company standards.· Maintain strong relationships with logistics service providers and resolve transportation issues promptly.3. Procurement Support· Support procurement by coordinating inbound logistics from vendors.· Track material movement and maintain records of transportation costs.· Provide input for cost optimization and budgeting in procurement and logistics.4.
