Job Title: Import Documentation & Logistics Executive – Paper Industry
Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced professional to manage end-to-end import documentation and logistics coordination for paper shipments.
The role involves handling import documentation, coordinating with CHAs and freight forwarders, ensuring smooth customs clearance, and tracking international shipments to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage complete import documentation cycle (Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, etc.)
Coordinate with CHA (Custom House Agent) for customs clearance
Ensure accurate HS code classification and compliance with import regulations
Track international shipments from supplier to final delivery point
Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and overseas suppliers
Monitor ETAs, delays, and resolve transit issues proactively
Maintain import MIS including shipment status and landed cost tracking
Ensure minimum demurrage, detention, and clearance delays
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of import-export documentation and procedures
Experience in customs clearance processes in India
Coordination with CHA, shipping lines, and freight forwarders
Good understanding of EXIM compliance and documentation norms
Strong Excel/MIS reporting skills
Attention to detail and ownership mindset
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Experience in import logistics / EXIM documentation (3–10 years)
Exposure to paper / packaging / trading / manufacturing industry preferred
Familiarity with port operations and shipping processes
Knowledge of ERP systems will be an advantage
