Procurement Planning:
Assess and understand material requirements in coordination with warehouse and logistics teams.
Forecast inventory levels and schedule timely procurement to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
Vendor Management:
Identify, evaluate, and select reliable vendors based on quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers.
Purchase Execution:
Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) as per approved requisitions.
Ensure timely follow-up with vendors for order confirmation, dispatch, and delivery.
Logistics Coordination:
Coordinate with transporters for smooth delivery of goods to and from warehouse locations.
Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Inventory & Documentation:
Support inventory audits and maintain proper documentation of procurement transactions.
Work closely with warehouse staff to verify delivery accuracy and manage GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes).
Compliance & Cost Control:
Ensure procurement activities align with company policies and statutory guidelines.
Maintain cost efficiency while ensuring the quality of materials and services.
Reporting:
Maintain procurement logs, MIS reports, and vendor performance records.
Submit daily/weekly updates to the reporting manager.
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics
Proficiency in MS Office & ERP systems (SAP/Tally/etc.)
Time management and multitasking
Understanding of procurement laws and vendor compliance
Graduate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (MBA preferred)
2–4 years of experience in procurement within warehouse/logistics/operations
Familiarity with sourcing, vendor management, and material handling systems
