Logistics Inventory Executive

Key Responsibilities

Material Receiving & Quality Inspection

Verification:Inspect incoming raw material deliveries against Purchase Orders (POs), delivery challans, and supplier invoices for correct quantity and specifications.

Quality Checks: Perform visual and physical quality assessments (e.g., checking for damage, moisture, contamination, or batch defects).

Quarantine Management: Immediately identify, isolate, and tag non-conforming or defective materials into a designated quarantine area to prevent them from reaching the production line.

Documentation: Generate Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for any rejected batches.

Inventory & Stock Management

Binning & Layout: Organize raw materials logically using shelving, racks, and pallet spaces, ensuring ease of access and optimal storage conditions.

System Updates: Record all stock movements (receipts, issues, returns) into the company's software.

Stock Rotation: Enforce First-In, First-Out (FIFO) or First-Expired, First-Out (FEFO) principles to minimize material degradation and waste.

Auditing: Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories to reconcile physical stock with system data.

Material Issuance

Requisition Fulfillment: Dispense raw materials to the shop floor or production departments based on approved material requisitions and production schedules.

Tracking: Track material consumption rates and alert the procurement team to reorder when stock drops below established safety levels.

Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping

Safety Protocols: Ensure the storage facility complies with health and safety regulations (e.g., proper handling of chemicals, weight limits, and emergency exits).

Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.

Other Specific Requirements:

Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a relevant technical/engineering field.

Experience: Typically 1 to 2 years in inventory control, warehousing, or manufacturing quality assurance.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Basic MS Office, particularly MS Excel and Company’s Software.

Attention to Detail: High accuracy in logging data and spotting defective materials.
