Inventory Executive

Job Summary:

The Offline Inventory Control Executive is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of physical stock levels at retail outlets. This role involves conducting on-site stock verification, ensuring FIFO (First In, First Out) compliance, and updating real-time inventory data in the Dil POS system. The incumbent will play a vital role in minimizing stock discrepancies, improving forecasting accuracy, and supporting smooth outlet operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stock Verification:
  Conduct regular physical verification of stock at assigned outlets to ensure accuracy between system records and actual inventory.

• Inventory Update:
  Perform real-time stock adjustments and updates in the Dil POS system during outlet visits to maintain up-to-date and accurate records.

• FIFO Compliance:
  Ensure that all outlets adhere to the FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory management principle to prevent product obsolescence or wastage.

• Reporting:
  Prepare and submit daily reports summarizing stock inspections, discrepancies identified, corrective actions taken, and overall inventory status.

• Coordination:
  Collaborate with Retail Partners (RPs), Outlet Managers, and the central supply chain team to resolve stock-related issues promptly.

• Process Improvement:
  Identify and report recurring issues or trends related to inventory management and suggest improvements for better stock accuracy and control.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in stock counting.

• Sound knowledge of inventory control principles (especially FIFO).

• Proficiency in using POS systems (preferably Dil POS) and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple outlet visits daily.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree, in any department

• 0-1 years of experience in inventory control, stock audit, or retail operations preferred.

• Prior experience with POS-based inventory systems will be an advantage.

Work Environment:

• Frequent travel to multiple outlet locations.

• Field-based role requiring physical stock verification and data entry.
