Job Title: Import Export Executive

Location: Vadodara.

Reports To: Managing Director

Job Overview:

An Import/Export Executive in the orthopedic implant and instrument industry manages the import and export of goods, ensuring compliance with regulations, and optimizing supply chain efficiency. This role involves coordinating shipments, handling documentation, and maintaining relationships with international partners

Key Responsibilities:

• Import/Export Operations:

Manage the end-to-end import and export processes for orthopedic implants and instruments.

• Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, customs laws, and other relevant compliance requirements.

• Documentation Management:

Prepare and manage all necessary import/export documentation, including invoices, shipping documents, and customs declarations.

• Logistics Coordination:

Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and other logistics providers to arrange timely and cost-effective transportation.

• Supplier and Customer Relations:

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.

• Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with international trade, such as delays, non-compliance, or fluctuations in currency exchange rates.

• Cost Optimization:

Monitor and analyze shipping costs and identify opportunities for cost savings in logistics and transportation.

• Communication and Negotiation:

Effectively communicate with various stakeholders, negotiate shipping rates, and resolve any issues related to shipments.

• Data Management:

Maintain accurate records of all import/export transactions and generate reports as needed.

• Market Awareness:

Stay updated on changes in international trade regulations, market trends, and competitor activities.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree in international business, logistics, or a related field.

• Experience:

Proven experience in import/export operations, preferably within the medical device or healthcare industry.

• Technical Skills:

Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including MS Office suite and potentially ERP systems like SAP.

• Communication and Negotiation:

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

• Attention to Detail:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

• Problem-Solving:

Ability to identify and resolve issues related to shipments, customs, or other import/export challenges.

• Organizational Skills:

Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

• Knowledge of International Trade:

Deep understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and incoterms.

• Language Skills:

Proficiency in relevant languages, especially English and potentially other languages spoken in target markets.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position.

• Primarily office-based
