Import Export Executive

Key Responsibilities 1. International Sales & Business Development  Identify and target prospective clients in international markets to generate leads and drive sales.  Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet revenue goals and expand market presence.  Build and nurture long-term relationships with new and existing international clients.  Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close deals with high profitability.  Note: Sales performance will be the key criterion for PPO (Pre-Placement Offer) and ongoing evaluation OF INTERNSHIP AND PPO. 2. Import-Export Operations  Handle complete import-export operations including documentation, customs clearance, and logistics.  Ensure compliance with global trade regulations, Incoterms, and shipping documentation.  Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents to ensure smooth delivery cycles.  Resolve issues related to customs discrepancies, shipping delays, and documentation errors. 3. Market Research & Analysis  Conduct research on international market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.  Provide insights for strategy refinement and business growth.  Compile reports on sales metrics, market insights, and process efficiency. 4. Client Communication & Support  Serve as the key point of contact for international clients, offering prompt and professional support.  Share product information, send quotations, and manage after-sales queries.  Maintain accurate and updated client interaction records. 5. Documentation & Compliance  Prepare and review shipping documents like invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.  Ensure adherence to trade laws, export-import compliance, and documentation standards.  Stay updated on changes in international trade regulations and tariffs. Qualifications  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or related fields.  2–3 years of experience in international sales, import-export operations, or similar roles.  Strong knowledge of global trade regulations, Incoterms, and shipping procedures.  Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); CRM tool experience is a plus.  Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.  Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.  Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
