We are looking for a Import Export Executive to join our team at at Kiran Industries Private Limited. This role involves managing storage, distribution, inventory, and items in a warehouse. You will work as an important part of the supply chain department. The position offers ₹ 25,000 - ₹ 30,000 and opportunities for career growth.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Export Operations
• Handle end-to-end export documentation and shipment processes.
• Prepare and verify Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Shipping Bill, Certificate of Origin, Bill of Lading/Airway Bill and other export documents.
• Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters and port authorities for timely shipment clearance.
• Track export shipments from dispatch until delivery at the destination.
• Coordinate with overseas customers regarding shipment schedules, documentation and delivery requirements.
• Ensure timely submission of export documents to the bank as per applicable LC / DP / DA / TT terms.
• Monitor export realization and coordinate with the Finance/Accounts team for timely receipt of export proceeds.
• Maintain records relating to export invoices, shipping bills, BRC/e-BRC and other export realization documents.
B. Import Operations
• Manage end-to-end import documentation and shipment coordination.
• Coordinate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, CHA, shipping lines and transporters.
• Verify Purchase Order, Proforma Invoice, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin and other import documents.
• Coordinate import clearance and ensure timely filing of Bill of Entry and related documentation.
• Monitor vessel/flight schedules, shipment arrival, clearance and delivery to the company premises.
• Coordinate with Finance/Accounts for import payments, including advance payment, LC payments, DA/DP and other payment terms.
• Monitor import duty, IGST, freight, demurrage and other related charges.
• Maintain complete records of import consignments and associated documentation.
C. Letter of Credit & Banking Coordination
• Handle import/export Letter of Credit (LC) documentation and coordinate with banks for issuance, amendments and retirement of LCs.
• Review LC terms and conditions and coordinate with internal departments to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with banks for submission/negotiation of export documents and import LC payments.
• Monitor LC validity, shipment dates, expiry dates and payment due dates.
• Coordinate with banks regarding Foreign Inward Remittance, export proceeds, e-BRC, FIRC and other banking documentation, wherever applicable.
• Ensure timely submission of documents and resolution of banking discrepancies.
D. Customs & Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure compliance with applicable Customs, DGFT, FEMA, GST and Foreign Trade Policy requirements.
• Coordinate with CHA for customs clearance and documentation.
• Monitor and maintain records of IEC, AD Code, LUT, RoDTEP, Advance Authorisation, EPCG, Export Promotion Schemes and other applicable registrations/benefits.
• Ensure proper reconciliation of import/export transactions and documentation.
• Keep track of changes in applicable import-export regulations and communicate relevant changes to the concerned departments.
E. Logistics & Shipment Coordination
• Obtain and compare freight quotations from shipping lines/freight forwarders.
• Coordinate booking of containers and vessels based on shipment requirements.
• Monitor container availability, stuffing, gate-in, sailing and arrival schedules.
• Track shipment status and proactively communicate delays or exceptions.
• Coordinate with transporters for movement of goods from factory to port and from port to factory.
• Monitor detention/demurrage and take necessary action to minimize avoidable costs.Job Requirements:
The minimum qualification for this role is 12th Pass and 2 - 3 years of experience. Strong organizational skills, time-management, and basic computer proficiency for inventory tracking are important for this role.
