Import Executive

Industry: Food Import & Distribution

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Import Executive to support the import operations team in managing documentation, shipment coordination, and compliance processes. The ideal candidate should possess strong organisational skills and a basic understanding of international trade procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with international suppliers regarding shipment schedules and documentation

• Prepare and verify import documentation (Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, etc.)

• Liaise with CHA, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters

• Track shipments and ensure timely clearance from customs

• Assist in calculating duties, taxes, and landed costs

• Maintain accurate import records and update internal trackers

• Support in regulatory compliance related to food imports (FSSAI, customs norms, etc.)

• Coordinate with warehouse and accounts teams for smooth inward processing

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, International Business, Logistics, or related field

• 6months - 2 years of experience in import operations (food industry preferred)

• Basic understanding of customs procedures and international shipping terms

• Familiarity with MS Excel and documentation handling

• Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
