Job Title: Freight Forwarder

Job Summary

A Freight Forwarder is responsible for arranging and coordinating the shipment of goods on behalf of clients. The role involves managing logistics, documentation, and transportation across domestic and international routes to ensure cargo is delivered efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange transportation of goods via air, sea, rail, or road

• Coordinate with carriers, shipping lines, airlines, and trucking companies

• Prepare and process shipping documentation (Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin)

• Ensure compliance with customs, import/export regulations, and trade laws

• Track shipments and provide status updates to clients

• Negotiate freight rates and contracts with carriers and vendors

• Manage cargo insurance and handle claims for loss or damage

• Resolve shipping issues, delays, and discrepancies

• Maintain accurate shipment records and billing information

• Liaise with customs brokers, warehouses, and port authorities

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge of international shipping, Incoterms, and customs procedures

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Ability to multitask and solve problems under pressure

• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office

• Understanding of freight pricing and cost control

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (preferred)

• 1–5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping (depending on seniority)

Work Environment

• Office-based with regular communication with global partners

• May require coordination across different time zones

• Occasional visits to ports, warehouses, or client sites

• It is a Full Time Warehouse / Logistics job for candidates with 4 - 5 years of experience.
