The Shuttle Operations Manager ensures smooth and efficient employee transportation services. This role oversees shuttle operations, driver management, vehicle maintenance, travel coordination, compliance documentation, and cost optimization. The position focuses on operational efficiency, safety, and high service quality.
Manage seamless coordination between drivers and employees.
Ensure timely pickup and drop services.
Address daily operational issues and handle emergency travel requirements.
Develop and optimize shuttle routes based on employee locations and shift timings.
Monitor shuttle schedules and make adjustments as needed to improve efficiency and reduce travel time/fuel costs.
Curate and implement driver training programs (safety, customer service, compliance).
Conduct regular performance assessments and provide feedback.
Ensure drivers follow company policies, traffic rules, and safety protocols.
Maintain required documentation related to mobility operations.
Support administrative tasks and coordinate with vendors for operational needs.
Monitor mobility-related expenses and prepare monthly reports.
Develop strategies to reduce operational costs without compromising service quality.
Ensure proper hygiene, servicing, and upkeep of vehicles.
Maintain updated records of vehicle insurance, driver licenses, RC copies, and permit renewals.
Track expiry dates and ensure timely renewals of compliance documents.
Manage employee travel arrangements including flights, cabs, and shuttle bookings.
Use tools/software for route planning, travel bookings, attendance tracking, and GPS monitoring.
End-to-end management of employee transport operations, including shuttle planning, driver management, vehicle maintenance, and travel coordination.
Oversight of operational compliance, documentation, and cost efficiency.
Approve daily shuttle operations, emergency pickups, and driver instructions.
Assign driver training and provide performance feedback.
Resolve minor vendor issues and escalate major concerns.
Approve travel bookings and verify compliance documents within defined limits.
Bachelor’s degree (B.E., B.Tech., B.Des. or equivalent)
4+ years experience in transport/mobility operations (2+ years in employee transport or logistics preferred)
Knowledge of route planning, driver management, and vehicle maintenance
Strong organizational, planning, and operational skills
Excellent communication and people management
Ability to handle emergencies and make quick decisions
Knowledge of traffic rules, safety, and compliance
Familiarity with travel/route planning software and GPS monitoring
