Logistics Factory Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Factory Supervisor to manage the day-to-day manufacturing operations of our modular retail furniture division. In this role, you will lead a team of machine operators, carpenters, and assemblers to produce high-quality display racks, cash counters, modular wall units, and fixtures used in modern retail stores. The ideal candidate must possess strong technical knowledge of panel processing machinery (Edge Banding and etc), the ability to interpret detailed CAD/shop drawings, and excellent leadership skills to meet strict delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Workflow Management:

Plan, schedule, and allocate tasks to carpenters, machine operators, and helpers based on production targets.

Drawing Interpretation: Read and review 2D/3D assembly blueprints, shop drawings to guide the shop floor team accurately.

Machine Optimization: Oversee the efficient operation of specialized machinery including Panel Saws, CNC routers, multi-boring machines, and Edge Banding equipment.

Timeline Enforcement: Monitor material throughput to avoid bottlenecks, ensuring modular elements are ready for timely dispatch to retail sites. Conduct rigid in-process quality checks to ensure precise dimensions, seamless edge banding, and proper fitment of knock-down hardware.

Material Management: Coordinate with procurement and stores to track inventory levels of MDF, commercial plywood, laminates, and specialized retail hardware.

Wastage Reduction: Implement strict material utilization protocols to reduce raw panel off-cuts and minimize expensive re-work.

Supervision: Supervise floor staff, track daily attendance, manage shift rotations, and resolve worker grievances promptly.Skill Development: Train workers on safe equipment handling, standardized assembly methods, and finishing techniques.

Compliance: Enforce the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as dust masks, safety glasses, and etc.
