Job Summary
The Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of company personnel, goods, documents, and materials as required. The role involves maintaining the assigned vehicle in good condition, ensuring compliance with traffic regulations, and supporting company operations through reliable transportation services.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate company vehicles for transportation of goods, materials, and personnel.
Ensure timely pickup and delivery of documents, parcels, raw materials, and finished goods as instructed.
Follow assigned routes and schedules while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or maintenance requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of the assigned vehicle.
Keep records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, servicing, and trip logs.
Ensure all vehicle documents such as insurance, registration, PUC, and permits are valid and updated.
Assist with loading and unloading of materials whenever required.
Coordinate with dispatch, stores, and administrative departments for transportation requirements.
Handle company property responsibly and maintain confidentiality of business-related information.
Be available for local and outstation travel as per operational requirements.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 10th Pass.
Valid LMV Driving License
Minimum 2–5 years of driving experience.
Good knowledge of local routes and highways.
Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
Ability to maintain records and logs accurately.
Punctual, disciplined, and responsible attitude.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions
May be required to work beyond regular hours depending on operational needs.
May involve local and outstation travel.
