Role: Scanning and Labeling Associate / Clerk
Department: Warehouse, Logistics, or Records Management
Primary Goal: Ensure items or documents are accurately scanned, tracked, labeled, and logged into the inventory or management system.
Key Responsibilities
Scanning Operations: Use barcode scanners or digital imaging equipment to log products, packages, or documents into the system.
Labeling and Tagging: Print and attach correct barcode, price, or shipping labels to items, boxes, or files.
Quality Control: Inspect items or documents for damage, missing tags, or scanning errors, and report discrepancies.
Data Entry: Input tracking numbers, quantities, and product details accurately into inventory or database software.
Order Support: Assist packing and shipping teams by verifying that scanned goods match order requirements before dispatch.
Equipment Maintenance: Keep scanning and printing hardware clean, charged, and functional, reporting minor technical issues.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, inventory control, or administrative data-entry role is preferred.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy to prevent sorting, shipping, or filing mistakes.
Technical Skills: Basic familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), data entry, and barcode/thermal label printers.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift packages (typically up to a specified weight limit) during shift hours.
