Job Description: Dispatch Executive
Location: Manufacturing Unit
Reporting Manager: General Manager
Roles & Responsibilities:
Ø Coordinate and manage the dispatch of goods and services.
Ø Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
Ø Monitor and track shipments, providing status updates as needed.
Ø Communicate effectively with logistics providers, drivers, and warehouse staff.
Ø Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and prepare necessary reports.
Ø Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the dispatch process.
Ø Implement and enforce policies and procedures to improve dispatch operations.
Ø Delivers items to customers by verifying orders.
Ø Inventory stock.
Ø Arranges transportation.
Ø Organises item order by editing for price, promotions, and weight compliance.
Ø Arranges shipments by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating delivery requirements, and placing/expediting orders.
Ø Ships items by examining items, destination, route, rate, and delivery time; orders carriers.
Ø Verifies items shipped by matching bills of lading, reconciling quantities, and noting discrepancies.
Ø Keeps customers informed by forwarding notice of item availability, shipment date and method, and current status; answering questions.
Ø Protects the organisation’s reputation by keeping pricing, promotion, purchase order, and credit-limit information confidential.
Skills & Requirements:
Ø Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
Ø Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics role.
Ø Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ø Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ø Proficiency with dispatch management software and tools.
Ø Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ø Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
