Reports To: Dispatch Supervisor / Warehouse In-Charge
Job Summary
The Dispatch Helper is responsible for assisting in the packing, loading, unloading, and dispatch of finished food products. The role ensures that products are handled safely, dispatched accurately, and delivered on time while maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in packing and preparing finished goods for dispatch.
Load and unload products safely and efficiently.
Verify the quantity and condition of products before dispatch.
Arrange products according to delivery routes and customer invoices.
Assist in checking delivery challans, invoices, and dispatch documents.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the dispatch and loading areas.
Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) practices where applicable.
Handle products carefully to avoid damage or contamination.
Support stock movement and inventory activities as instructed.
Assist drivers during vehicle loading and unloading.
Report damaged products, shortages, or discrepancies to the supervisor immediately.
Follow all company safety, food safety, and hygiene procedures.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Dispatch Supervisor or Management.
Required Qualifications
Minimum: 10th Pass (Higher qualification is an added advantage).
Basic reading and writing skills.
Previous experience in a warehouse, dispatch, or food manufacturing industry is preferred.
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of warehouse and dispatch operations.
Ability to lift and move materials safely.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Time management and punctuality.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Willingness to work in shifts and overtime when required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to lift and carry materials as per company safety guidelines.
Fit to work in warehouse and dispatch environments.
Working Conditions
Food manufacturing and warehouse environment.
PPE (Hairnet, gloves, safety shoes, mask, etc.) must be worn as required.
Compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards is mandatory.
