Job Summary
The Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations during an assigned shift, ensuring smooth workflow, high-quality service, employee performance, and compliance with company policies and safety standards. The role involves supervising staff, managing customer requirements, resolving operational issues, and ensuring the shift meets productivity and business targets.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate employees during the assigned shift.
Allocate duties and ensure adequate staffing for daily operations.
Monitor employee performance, attendance, punctuality, and productivity.
Ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations.
Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve customer concerns promptly.
Monitor inventory, supplies, equipment, and workplace conditions.
Ensure company policies, procedures, health and safety standards are followed.
Handle operational issues and make appropriate decisions during the shift.
Conduct shift briefings and communicate important updates to team members.
Maintain accurate shift reports, records, and operational documentation.
Coordinate with other departments and management to resolve issues.
Train, coach, and support team members to improve performance.
Monitor productivity and achieve shift targets and KPIs.
Ensure proper opening, closing, handover, and cash-handling procedures where applicable.
Report incidents, performance issues, and operational challenges to senior management.
