The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and service standards in the living, dining, and galley areas onboard the vessel. The role ensures that all crew and officers are provided with quality food, beverages, and a hygienic living environment while adhering to maritime safety and sanitation standards.
Food & Beverage Service
Assist in preparation, serving, and distribution of meals and beverages.
Set up dining areas and ensure cleanliness before and after meal service.
Assist cooks in kitchen operations when required.
Housekeeping Duties
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in crew cabins, mess rooms, recreation rooms, and common areas.
Handle laundry services for crew and officers.
Change linens, make beds, and replenish supplies.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all maritime hygiene and sanitation protocols.
Adhere to ship safety standards and participate in safety drills.
Ensure waste management procedures are followed as per MARPOL and ship policies.
Support Functions
Assist in inventory management of housekeeping and pantry supplies.
Report maintenance issues in accommodation and dining areas.
Provide support to officers and crew for special events or official functions onboard.
