Core Responsibilities:
Guest Service:
Greeting guests, providing menus, offering assistance with seating, serving water, and refilling drinks.
Table Management:
Clearing used plates and glasses, setting up tables for future guests, and ensuring the dining area is clean and organized.
Stocking and Maintenance:
Stocking the waitstaff station with necessary supplies (napkins, utensils, etc.), and ensuring all areas are clean and presentable.
Kitchen Support:
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks (like salad assembly) or helping with dishwashing as needed.
Additional Duties:
Directing Guests: Assisting with finding restrooms or exits.
Order Taking: In some smaller venues, stewards may be responsible for taking basic orders or communicating them to the waitstaff.
General Support: Assisting with other tasks as needed, such as unloading deliveries or cleaning up spills.
