1. Cleaning & Sanitation
Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, floors, and workstations.
Dispose of waste properly and maintain cleanliness in garbage areas.
2. Equipment Handling
Operate dishwashing machines safely and efficiently.
Ensure all cleaned items are dried, polished, and stored correctly.
Report any malfunctioning or damaged equipment to supervisors.
3. Kitchen Support
Assist chefs with basic food prep if required (e.g., cleaning vegetables).
Refill soap, sanitizers, and cleaning supplies.
Ensure proper stock of clean dishes, glassware, and utensils during service hours.
4. Safety & Compliance
Follow all food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP or company standards).
Wear proper protective gear and maintain personal hygiene.
Ensure chemicals and cleaning agents are used safely.
Previous experience as a steward or in a similar role preferred.
Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and cleaning techniques.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for long hours.
Shifts may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Fast-paced kitchen environment with heat, noise, and movement.
