The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene standards, and basic kitchen support to ensure smooth daily operations. This role focuses on sanitation, dishwashing, cleaning, and assisting the kitchen team when required.
Maintain high cleanliness standards in kitchen, dine-in area, and wash areas.
Wash utensils, gastronorm pans, tools, and equipment regularly.
Clean floors, counters, machines, and storage areas.
Follow daily deep-cleaning checklist.
Ensure garbage segregation and timely disposal.
Operate dishwashing station efficiently.
Maintain proper drying and storage of utensils.
Keep sinks, drainage, and wash areas hygienic at all times.
Assist chefs and baristas with basic prep work when needed.
Refill ingredients, packaging, and cleaning supplies.
Support taiyaki and beverage stations during peak hours (non-cooking tasks).
Follow FSSAI hygiene standards and internal SOPs.
Use cleaning chemicals safely.
Report leaks, damages, or equipment issues immediately.
Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene.
Ability to work in fast-paced café environment.
Physically active and comfortable with standing work.
Team-oriented attitude.
Prior café or restaurant experience preferred but not mandatory.
