We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Steward to join our team. The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas, supporting the chefs and service staff by ensuring proper handling of kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishware. This role is essential to the smooth and safe operation of food service.
Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cooking equipment, and kitchen surfaces.
Ensure proper waste disposal and maintain cleanliness of garbage areas.
Support in basic food prep tasks as needed (e.g., peeling vegetables, carrying supplies).
Assist chefs and kitchen staff during busy periods by ensuring smooth kitchen workflow.
Refill kitchen supplies and utensils at appropriate stations.
Ensure all equipment and areas meet hygiene and safety standards.
Maintain stock of cleaning materials and notify supervisor when supplies are low.
Operate dishwashing machines and handle cleaning chemicals safely and efficiently.
Follow all safety and sanitation policies during kitchen operations.
Work as part of a team to ensure efficient back-of-house operations.
Prior experience in a stewarding or kitchen helper role.
Understanding of basic kitchen hygiene and safety protocols.
Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and holidays.
Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
